Purpose

• To increase awareness of the need for recycling on UVI's campus

• To institute an official campus recycle program that is in the best interest of the UVI community

• To encourage and increase the practice of using the recycle bins among staff, faculty, and students on campus

• To obtain administrative participation, feedback, and support concerning the recycle program on the University of the Virgin Island’s campus

• To maintain the working relationship with the Virgin Islands Waste Management, Reichold Center, the Charlotte Amalie High School's Beautification Pilot Program, and the Recycling Association of the Virgin Islands

• To decrease the amount of waste products sent to the landfill
